Hotels   Guide

Croke Park is one of the largest stadiums in Europe and is steeped in history.

It is the principal stadium and headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), Ireland's biggest sporting organisation and hosts national rugby union games including the Six-Nations Championship.

Following redevelopment in the 1990s, Croke Park has a capacity of 82,300

The stadium houses the GAA Museum, which is situated under the Cusack Stand, and was established to celebrate the GAA's contribution to Irish sporting, cultural and social life since its foundation in 1884.

There is also a Croke Park Stadium Tour which attracts visitors from across Ireland and beyond. Tours run throughout the year on a daily basis and can be book through the stadium’s official website.

Getting To Croke Park

Reaching Ireland from mainland Britain requires a boat or plane, but Croke Park’s location at the heart of Dublin city centre makes getting there an uncomplicated process.

Located on Dublin’s north side, Croke Park is ideally situated on the airport route from the city centre. Dublin Airport connects to various locations across the UK, Europe and beyond and is 13km from the stadium.

For those coming by boat, Dublin has two ferry ports - Dublin Port and Dun Laoghaire, operated by Irish Ferries and Stene Line. Both are a taxi or bus ride from the stadium.

If you need an overnight stay and would rather be within quick reach of Croke Park than stay in Dublin, a choice you won’t regret is the 4-star Jurys Croke Park Hotel, particularly if you manage to land a room overlooking the stadium. This hotel has had excellent reviews on tripadvisor.com.

Please note that the stadium is situated in a residential area that has limited parking, and motorists should look to park elsewhere in the city centre.
