Stade Jean-Bouin is a multi-purpose stadium located in the 16th arrondissement (district) of Paris, France.
The stadium is used primarily for rugby union matches and is the home stadium of Stade Francais rugby club.
Constructed in 1925, the stadium has a capacity of 12,000. As well as rugby, the venue offers a variety of facilities for athletics, tennis, field hockey and basketball.
It is directly across the street from the much larger and grandiose Parc des Princes stadium.
The area surrounding the Stade Jean Bouin has limited appeal, so if needing an overnight stay in a Paris hotel you would be better off finding one in another area of the city such as the Latin Quarter. Whilst Paris is a big city, the excellent transport links mean you will always be in easy reach of the stadium.
Paris is a major tourist hub and its international airport – Charles de Gaulle– connects to cities across the world. The airport is situated 23km from central Paris.
Paris is also reachable by car from the UK, via a ferry crossing, and can be done in half a day.
Stade Jean Bouin is easily reachable by public transport from the city centre, and could even be travelled on foot: the stadium is less than 4km from the famous Avenue de Champs-Élysées.
However, the most convenient way to reach the stadium is by metro. Two metro stations, Porte de Saint-Cloud and Porte d'Auteuil, are both a short walk from the ground.
There are also bus services to the same-named stations.
