Situated within the charming hamlet of Chatham Green in the very heart of rural Essex yet only 10 minutes from Braintree and Chelmsford, 15 to Stansted and 5 minutes from the new Great Leighs race course The Windmill Inn offers our visitors a unique opportunity for a relaxing stay whether it be on business or pleasure. We have 5 double and 2 twin rooms each comfortably furnished and decorated in a farmhouse style. PLEASE NOTE Although accommodation price does not include breakfast, complimentary cereals and fruit juices, bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits are provided in your room.Full English breakfast is available on Saturday and Sunday mornings - please let us know if you do require this option when you check in. All rooms have en-suite shower and toilet, coloured television and also free WIFI. Four of the rooms are built within the original roundhouse base of the windmill. The remaining rooms are located in the stable block and have been constructed using the existing 19th century hand made bricks. Visitors with wheelchairs are welcomed with 2 of our rooms offering ground floor access and facilities. A stoness throw from the Inn lies The Essex Way, a footpath that runs from Epping to Harwich and is a popular route with walkers and ramblers.You can also relax in the secluded guests garden or explore the many surrounding villages and hamlets.
