The Essex Golf & Country Club is a modern resort located in the village of Earls Colne, surrounded by Essex countryside, 10 miles from the town of Colchester and 16 miles from Clacton on Sea. Stansted Airport (STN) is 23 miles away and takes approximately 35 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features. The Essex Golf & Country Club offers a luxurious health spa, with a sauna, steam room and hot tub. A range of health and beauty treatments is on offer and there is an indoor swimming pool with an adjoining children's pool. The fitness centre is complete with the very latest in gym equipment.
The Essex Golf and Country Club houses the Brasserie, offering informal dining in a modern setting with a summer terrace.
Golfers can play a round on the 18 hole Championship County Course and there is also a nine hole Garden Course. Other facilities include six indoor tennis courts and an aerobics studio with fitness, yoga and Tai Chi classes.

Directions
Getting there. The Stansted Express rail service runs direct to London Liverpool Street Station at regularly intervals. The nearest station to the hotel is Marks Tey. There is no taxi rank at Stansted so taxis must be booked at the taxi desk on the international arrivals concourse. A typical fare from the airport to the hotel is GBP 45.
Driving directions. From the airport follow signs for Colchester A120. Continue towards Colchester and exit at Earls Colne (B1024). Follow this road until the turning for the airfield/business park on the left.
