The hotel is only a short walk from the railway station and the chapel bridge of Lucerne.

Roughly half the rooms are small and the others are medium in size, but they do not differ greatly. All are beautifully appointed in strong, contrasting colours and are fully equipped with modern facilities, but retain some attractive period features. Bathrooms are fairly small, but in good condition.

There is an informal, extremely popular Mexican restaurant and a very lively bar. There is also a cafe/coffee shop.

The lobby area has been decorated in white marble and even though it is small, it looks very 'chic'.
