The Playazul Hotel is located in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, 250 metres from the beach, 800 metres from the Playa Serena Golf Course, and three kilometres from the Roquetas de Mar old town and harbour.
Hotel Features. This is a modern hotel decorated in vivid colours situated in palm tree shaded grounds. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, and an Acquaplay health and beauty centre, which provides a range of treatments. Practical amenities include nearby parking, a 24 hour front desk, and currency exchange.
The Playazul Hotel opens out onto a typical Andalucian terrace and serves an international buffet. The all inclusive rate includes a buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as alcoholic drinks between 8 a.m. and midnight, and tapas between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Drinks from the stall or Beach club, snacks and cakes, specific brand ice creams, and minibars, are not included. The full board rate includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the half board rate includes breakfast and lunch or dinner.
There is a daily entertainment programme which includes bowls, giant chess, petanque, and mini golf, as well as evening entertainment. Club Dolphin has activities for children aged between 4 and 12 and 12 and 18.
Guestrooms. There are 207 air conditioned guestrooms featuring cheerful, modern decor. All open onto balconies and are equipped with cable television, direct dial phones, and safes. Bathrooms have shower/bath combinations. The hotel offers all inclusive, full board, and half board options.
Expert Tip. Once a traditional fishing town, Roquetas de Mar is now a popular holiday resort. The old town still exists, and is a maze of narrow, Moorish streets, all looked down on by the remaining tower of Castilla de Santa Ana.

Distance to Playazul Hotel is 30 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The best way to get to the hotel is by taxi or to drive. The taxi rank is just outside the arrivals terminal and the taxis are of a high standard. A trip to Roquetas de Mar costs about 26 EUR. Prices are subject to change.
Getting around. The centre of Roquetas de Mar is mostly flat, compact, and easily covered on foot. However, as this hotel is slightly further out, hiring a bicycle may make sense. In summer a small tourist land train and a horse and carriage run. There is a frequent bus service to Almeria, and from here there are regular train connections to various destinations including Granada.
