General information:The hotel was built at the beginning of the century and was recently completely refurbished. The elegant banquet hall, where Bela Bartok once performed, was restored to its former splendour. This grand art-deco building offers all modern comforts and facilities.Location:Pecs is a historic town at the foot of Mecsek mountains in southern Transdanubia. The hotel is situated in the historic innercity, in the walking street directly opposite the Szechenyi square.Area:Mysterious crypts from the Roman Age, Turkish djamis with cupolas, a slim minaret, exquisite Zsolnay-ceramics, grandiose CsontvZry-paintings, decorative Vasarely-patterns, almond-trees blooming early in spring, restaurants and cafeterias with pleasant atmosphere: this is Pecs. The city is 200 kms far from Budapest to the South.Recreation:The restaurant is located at the front of the building and is popular with locals due to the good standard of the food. It is quite large with a high ceiling and lots of oak trimmings.Reception - the reception area is a surprise. Although the reception area is small it is very traditional and beautiful with it tiled floors and slightly gothic interior. It has a small staircase leading upto a beautiful stained glass feature.Rooms:This grand art-deco building offers all modern comforts and facilities including 94 guestrooms, which are intact with all essential amenities.**There is a nominal parking fee of 12 euros** Prices are subject to change.
