The hotel, which dates back to 1872, is an idyllic country mansion set high on Nutfield ridge. It enjoys breathtaking views of the Sussex and Surrey countryside. Enjoy afternoon tea in one of the elegant Victorian lounges; curl up in front of a roaring log fire in the grand Library; or, on a fine day, simply enjoy the fresh air and panoramic views across the countryside from the terrace. The hotel has 60 guestrooms and a lobby providing a 24-hour reception and check-out service, cloakroom and lift access. Guests can wine and dine in the hotel restaurant, café and bar, and the hotel also offers room service. There are conference facilities and a car park on site.
Each of the guestrooms, including family rooms and sleek executive rooms, has been lovingly furnished. There are soft, warm fabrics, high-quality furniture and, in the gleaming bathrooms, unique luxury toiletries. Gatwick Airport and Heathrow Airport are roughly 14 km and 54 km from the hotel, respectively.
From the M25 travelling east take junction 8, and follow the signs to Reigate and then Redhill. Pass under the railway bridge, and follow the signs to the A25 Godstone. From the M25 travelling west take junction 6 to Redhill. Go onto the A25 via Godstone, and the hotel is 2.4 km further, on the left after Nutfield village.
For a special night, or a traditional Sunday lunch, enjoy a unique meal in the original Cloisters restaurant, which has a charming character. The Grand Hall, the Library and the Bar offer less formal dining in more relaxed settings.
