Location. Set on a busy street in Dusseldorf city centre next to the German Japanese Centre, the Hotel Nikko lies 500 metres from the train station, one kilometre from the old town and 1.5 kilometres from the River Rhine. Dusseldorf Airport (DUS) is nine kilometres from the hotel, around 15 minutes by car.
Hotel Features. The hotel lobby is contemporary in design and a spiral staircase leads up to the first floor atrium which floods the reception area with natural light. Located on the ninth and eleventh floors, the Nikko Spa offers massages, facials, and other beauty treatments (surcharges apply). Views of Dusseldorf can be enjoyed while swimming in the 14 metre pool located on the eleventh floor and guests can relax in the saunas and the steam bath on the ninth.
Authentic Japanese food is flame grilled and served on traditional Japanese chinaware in the Benkay Restaurant, which also features a sushi bar and private tatami rooms. The Hotel Nikko also has a breakfast restaurant and lobby bar.
The majestic River Rhine, 1.5 kilometres from the hotel, offers excellent walking and jogging opportunities as well as boat tours.
Guestrooms. The Hotel Nikko's Contemporary guestrooms are brightly decorated and include tea and coffee making facilities, safes, minibars, and air conditioning. Bathrooms have marble counters and come with complimentary Molton Brown toiletries, makeup mirrors, telephones, and hair dryers.
Expert Tip. About one kilometre from the hotel is the Altstadt, the oldest part of town, where the famous Dusseldorf Alt beer is served in the numerous bars and breweries located here. Particularly worth a visit are the Hausbrauerei zum Schlussel and the Brauerei im Goldenen Ring.

Directions
Getting there: Around 300 trains a day stop at the Dusseldorf Airport Railway Station which is located directly on a major axis of the European railway network. A monorail connects the railway station and the terminal building. The S7 S Bahn train connects the airport and Solingen Ohligs, and stops on the lower level of the terminal building. The bus station is located in front of central Arrivals, where taxis can also be found.
Driving directions: From the airport turn left onto Flughafen Strasse, then right onto Stockumer Hofe and then circle around to the left staying on this road. After about 1 kilometre turn right onto Danziger Strasse (B8, which means highway 8). At the next big intersection, continue straight, now on Kennedy Damm, the B1. After about 500 metres, turn left onto Fischer Strasse, which becomes Kaiser Strasse and Hofgarten Strasse. Go over the ramp and veer to the left. At the bottom of the ramp is the start of Immermann Strasse. The hotel is on the right just after the intersection with Ost Strasse.
