The hotel is in the 16th district of Paris, a select and cheerful area close to the River Seine. There is good public transport close to the hotel.
The rooms are small, and in good condition. They are tastefully decorated, and furnished and equipped to a good standard. There are no triple rooms available.
No restaurant in the hotel. The breakfast room is on the ground floor.
The lobby is open plan with the lounge and seating area. M. Murat was a famous soldier serving the Emperor Napoleon, and the décor of the public areas is in keeping with this theme. The impressive wood-panelled walls, carved furniture and huge frescos portraying epic battles, capture the mood of the whole period.
Built in 1850, this is a traditional, Parisian, "Haussman" style building.
This is a 3-star hotel, classified as a good, superior tourist-class property. The hotel is full of charm, and offers a warm atmosphere, steeped in history.
