Description


The hotel is a modern city centre hotel offering comfortable accommodation along with an excellent location. Its contemporary interiors complement its captivating Victorian architecture. Built in 1900 and renovated in 2006, it comprises a total of 50 guest rooms. Facilities on offer include an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, lift access, bars, a café and parking for those arriving by car.

All superior rooms have been decorated in a contemporary style with a modern finish. Each room is en-suite. Facilities found within each room include a double bed, individually adjustable heating, tea and coffee making equipment and a television.

The hotel is located on the corner between Hotham Street and Lord Nelson Street. Walker Art Gallery is just a 2-minute walk away, while Albert Dock and Liverpool Tate Modern are within half an hour of the hotel. Guests can reach Penny Lane in 12 minutes by car. Lime Street train station is a 2-minute walk from the hotel reception. Exit the hotel onto Hotham Street, turn right onto Lord Nelson Street and the train station can be seen 20 metres ahead on the left. The nearest bus stop to the airport is also close by. Take a 3-minute walk along Lord Nelson Street, then left onto Lime Street and the bus stop can be seen a few metres further along. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is just some 16 km from the hotel.

The nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon. It is advisable to take a taxi to the hotel or use the airport link bus. If taking the link bus disembark at the Lime Street stop, turn left and walk towards the Empire Theatre. Before reaching the theatre guests' will see Lord Nelson Street on the right. Turn onto this street. The hotel is located half way up Lord Nelson Street on the left. The nearest train station is Liverpool Lime Street. Exit the train station via the Lord Nelson Street exit, turn right and walk 200 metres up the road, where guests will see the hotel entrance. The nearest bus station is Queen's Square. Walk to the top of the bus station and then turn right, following the street (20 metres). At the end of this street turn left onto Lime Street and cross the road. Once across the road take the first right (Lord Nelson Street) and walk 200 metres along the street. The hotel will become visible halfway up on the left-hand side.

A continental style buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Breakfast comprises of tea or coffee, fruit juice, toast, croissants, cereal, yoghurt, ham and cheese. Nelson's coffee shop serves Illy coffee, tea and a selection of sandwiches and snacks daily. The Resident's Bar is stocked with a wide range of premium-brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The DugOut Bar is a beer bar/sports bar with wall-to-wall plasma screens, showing all major sports matches and games and stocks a wide range of bottled beers from around the world, complemented by premium-brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
