Klipper Zwadde Hotel in Groningen, Netherlands

The ship is 24 metres long, 5 metres wide and 2.10 metres high. It was built in 1897 and has been used as sailing freight ship in the past to move coal, turf, potatoes and wheat from one part of Holland to another. In the 1950's a few idealists started restoring these boats to sailing ships again, of course with certain luxury. The ship was from then on used as a sailing boat for participating guests, who wanted to make trips in the summer in the shallow waters of Holland, Ijsselmeer and Waddensea.
