As I approached the hotel I spotted the stag party that I was with - all dressed as Robin Hood and his Merry Men. They went off to the pub and I checked into this massive hotel. Apparently it has 750 rooms and I think all of them must have been filled with stag parties!!! In the reception I saw 10+ male groups and not one hen party... according to a member of staff it's usually 50/50. I bought a pint and some apple pie in the bar... the pint came in at just under £4 and the apple pie was £5... when did Jurys Inn hotels get so expensive for food?? Room was usually Jurys inn / Travelodge / Premier Inn fare... reliably comfortable bed, flat screen TV, good bathroom. All fine. Checked out the next day with a hangover at noon. Left Nottingham. Jurys Inn Nottingham was fine and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again.
