Completely renovated in 2005, this 3-storey hotel comprises a total of 85 spacious and comfortable rooms, including rooms for families. Guests are offered many facilities including a bar, WLAN in all public areas and Internet access via a coin-driven computer. Moreover guests may make use of the laundry and drying services as well as the luggage room.
This establishment offers accommodation for the exacting holidaymaker as well as for the business traveller. All of the guest rooms are spacious and bright with modern cherry wood furniture and contemporary decor. Room facilities include complimentary Internet access, direct dial telephone, flat screen TV with multi channels, tea/coffee facilities, In-room safe and an iron and ironing board.
The area offers numerous sporting and leisure activities such as bowling, golf, fishing, riding, greyhound racing, water sports, Leisureland and a cinema.
One of the best locations in Galway, direct on the famous Eyre Square. The pubs and restaurants which have made this so-called City of Tribes into one of the liveliest places in Ireland are easily accessible from here on foot. The hotel enjoys close proximity to the Bus and Railway station, only 3 minutes walk away. This hotel is the ideal base from which to explore many of the sights of the Galway area and to reach the beautiful west of Ireland. Guests may also discover the Aran Islands, Connemara or the picturesque town of Clifden, enjoy the mountains, castles and stone walls, lawns, long sandy beaches, the rivers and famous golf courses.
The hotel lies on Eyre Square in Galway. When approaching the city on the N6 from the direction of Dublin, or on the N18 from the South (Clare, Limerick, Cork) guests will notice that these roads join up. At the Oranmore roundabout on which the Quality Hotel is also located, follow signs towards the N6 (Galway City). At the next roundabout take the first exit on the left, towards Galway City East. Continue straight on until the Huntsman Bar comes into view on the left hand side. Turn off left here and drive straight until reaching Eyre Square.
The bar is localy known as the meeting place of Galway. The Bar Grill offers light snacks. The Carvery is available 7 days a week serving hot meals. The extensive bar menu is served in the afternoons with a wide choice to choose from. Special dietary requirements may be catered for.
