This hotel is located opposite the Canal du Midi and the train station, about 5 minutes' drive from the â€cité†, in the heart of the Bastide St. Louis only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of â€New Carcassonne†and its shops.
The bedrooms vary in shape and size but are large overall. They are decorated in a contemporary or Belle Epoque style. Both rooms and bathrooms are in good condition; the renovated rooms are in excellent condition.
The brasserie style restaurant is located to the right of the hotel entrance. It has been entirely refurbished in bright colours, and is furnished with modern grey and black furniture.
The lobby area is huge with a traditional reception. This room is very bright and has a beautiful, ornate, listed ceiling, and in the back beautiful grand sweeping stairs. The reception desk is rather small and simple to the right of the entrance.
The hotel is a very attractive traditional building, with an attractive facade in the Beaux Arts style.
This is a rather grand, impressive hotel, with its main asset of spaciousness throughout and an excellent location. ( 0808/ss )
