Facing the State Opera, the Art Nouveau Hotel Bristol is situated in the Karntnerstrasse shopping district of Vienna, Austria. Hotel Features. Built in 1892, the Hotel Bristol has a black and white marble lobby, with gilded mirrors, potted palms and Biedermeier furniture.
Chandeliers, pink linen and Art Nouveau glass and wood screens decorate the Michelin starred Korso bei der Oper restaurant, serving fine European and Austrian flavours. Overlooking the State Opera, Restaurant Sirk's walls are hung with photos of opera singers who once dined there. The restaurant offers Austrian cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bistro style Cafe Sirk serves Viennese cakes and coffee, while guests can enjoy wines, beers and spirits in the American inspired Bristol Bar, which has green armchairs and antique racing prints.

From Vienna International Airport (VIE):
Distance to the Hotel Bristol is 16 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. An express train (CAT) leaves the airport every 30 minutes for the City Air Terminal. The journey time is 16 minutes, and single tickets cost 9 EUR. The S 7 S Bahn train runs between the airport and central Vienna, stopping at a number of U Bahn (underground) stations. Single tickets cost 6 EUR. Buses run to the city centre, Budapest, Bratislava, and the Westbahnhof and Sudbahnhof railway stations. Taxis to the city centre cost approximately 30 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Opposite the State Opera, the Hotel Bristol is 500 metres from the Hofburg Imperial Palace. Vienna city centre is best explored on foot. The city is served by a cheap and efficient public transport system, including buses, trams, and S Bahn and U Bahn trains. Taxis can be hailed on the street, but are quite expensive.
