The Hilton Craigendarroch is a traditional countryside resort in the Scottish Highlands, one mile from Ballater and eight miles from Balmoral Castle. This traditional four floor countryside hotel features 45 guestrooms decorated in soft, warm tones. All include tea and coffee making facilities, satellite television, hair dryers, and Sony PlayStations.
Guests can head to the Club House Lounge to browse the complimentary morning papers; there is live entertainment here at the weekends, as well as a magic show and games for children every Wednesday. Guests can also dine in the traditional Oak Restaurant which is designed in typical Highlands style, lined with books and featuring an open log fire, and offering Scottish fare with a modern twist on classic dishes. Situated around two swimming pools, the Country Club comprises a fitness suite, sauna, steam room, games room and snooker room. One pool is designed for children and has a water slide, and adults can relax in the spa bath. For further relaxation guests can retreat to the hair, health and beauty spa where a wide range of holistic E'Spa treatments are available. During the school holidays the Acorn Club for 5 12 year olds provides a range of fun activities. The hotel is situated in a wooded estate and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor pursuits including a nearby dry ski slope, Loch fishing, and Ballater Golf Club. Aberdeen Airport is 45 miles away with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.

Directions


Taxis depart from outside the terminal building and should cost about 40 GBP. Bus services operate from the airport to Aberdeen city centre. The nearest train station is Dyce, where trains depart for Aberdeen and Inverness.
Driving directions: From the airport follow A96 from airport to Aberdeen City Centre. At Anderson Drive Roundabout take A93 signposted for Braemar and Royal Deeside.
