Original parquet floors, wainscotings, marble mantelpieces and glass panelled doors help create an opulent ambience indicative of yesteryear. A colossal wind vane in the shape of a Dutch East Indies Company merchantman of yore adorns the roof. Behind the villa, a terrace looks out onto a large garden surrounded by towering trees. It is an ideal place to leave behind the pressures of work and day-to-day worries. Guests can use the hotel bicycles on request upon availability. The modern amenities of this renovated hotel do not detract from an atmosphere with echoes of the past, and a good old fashioned, Dutch warm welcome.
