Glenmoriston Town House Hotel in Inverness, Scotland

Built in 1890 and renovated in 2008, this city hotel has retained its Victorian style and comprises a total of 30 rooms spread over 2 buildings and 3 floors. The inviting lobby offers guests a 24-hour reception desk. Further facilities include a Piano Bar with live music every Friday and Saturday nights and 2 restaurants. Abstract is a French Modern Resutanrat using only Fresh Scottish produce, it is opened for Dinner Tuesday to Saturday, and Contrast is a friendly and relaxed Brasserie with an outstanding view over the River Ness. Additionally, there is WI FI access in all the bedrooms and all the public areas.

The hotel has 30 bedrooms separated in 2 stylish but very different builbings. All rooms feature en suite bathroom with either a shower or bath. Further fittings include a direct dial telephone, TV, and WI FI access. Standard bedrooms are located in the main building. Executive bedrooms have all recently been renovated and are located in the building next the main House. All superior bedrooms have a river view. Deluxe bedrooms are larger than the standard rooms and have a river view.

There is live Piano Music in the Bar every Friday and every Saturday evening. The nearest Golf Course and a Sports Centre and Olympic size swimming pool are both located about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Inverness, along the river Ness, opposite the Eden Court theatre. From the building guests are able to enjoy stunning views of the River Ness. Bars, restaurants, clubs, the train station, the tourist centre and public transport links are just minutes from the building. The hotel also provides a good point of departure for excursions out into Highlands. Inverness airport is 16 km away.

LOCH NESS and CULLODEN BATTLEFIELD.

From the North will go through the Kessock bridge and reach a roundabout, take the 3rd exit off onto a dual carriageway. Continue along this road, Longman, until reach a smaller roundabout and then take the 2nd exit off along until reach a small roundabout. Take 2nd exit off until the final roundabout. Take the 1st exit along this road, Chapel st. Go to the right hand lane and at the traffic lights turn right to the River Ness, Bank st. At the cross roads, Johnny Foxes Pub to the left, stay in the left lane until reaching a junction with the road veering to the right, Ness Bank, at a church. Follow the river to the hotel which is 182 meters approx. on the left.

Breakfast is served daily. Lunch is available in Contrast Brasserie and dinner can be enjoyed in Contrast Brasserie or in Abstract, our French Modern Restaurant, closed every Sunday and Monday.
