The Die Gersberg Alm is located in Salzburg, Austria, nine kilometres from Salzburg cathedral, and 10 kilometres from Hellbrunn Castle and Salzburg city centre.
Hotel Features. The Die Gersberg Alm is set in an Alpine chalet originally built in 1832, and maintains a rustic ambience, with its wood panelled walls and homely furniture. Overlooking Salzburg Cathedral and Fortress, the guest garden has a fountain, an outdoor pool, a tennis court, and a playground for children. The wellness area includes a sauna, Turkish bath, and spa tub. Wireless Internet and onsite parking are complimentary.
A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily in the hotel's Alpine style restaurant, and can be served in the garden in warmer weather. The restaurant serves local dishes including fresh fish from local rivers, as well as international dishes.
The hotel has a bowling alley on site, and bicycle rental, fishing, hiking, horse riding, ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing are all available nearby.
Guestrooms. The 46 rooms and apartments have wood panelling and modern furniture. Expert Tip. Hellbrunn Palace has gardens with famously elaborate fountains called 'Wasserspiele'. This baroque extravaganza features floating sculptures, grottoes, and surprise water showers.

Directions
From Salzburg Airport (SZG):
Distance to The Die Gersberg Alm is 12 kilometres, approximately 30 minutes' drive.
Getting there. A taxi direct to the hotel should cost 25 EUR. Alternatively, the number 2 bus runs between the airport and Salzburg's main train station (Hauptbahnhof), 7 kilometres from the hotel, every 10 minutes. Single tickets cost 1.80 EUR. Prices are subject to change.
Getting around. Salzburg city centre is best explored on foot. The city is served by an inexpensive tram and bus system, and there are numerous cycle paths. Driving is not advised for visitors, and cars are not allowed in some parts of the Old Town.
Driving directions. From Salzburg Airport.
T Take the north east direction on the B158 until Guggental.
Turn right, and after two kilometres uphill, the hotel is located on the right hand side.
