The area is full of interest for visitors; Rosslyn Chapel is nearby (around a 10-minute drive) and the Royal Yacht Britannia as well as Edinburgh Castle may be reached in around 30 minutes by car and Edinburgh Zoo is around a 50-minute drive away.

From Edinburgh international airport: follow signs for Edinburgh/ City Bypass South (A720). Take the A720 to Sheriffhall Roundabout, follow the A7 south to Gorebridge and then take the B704 to Dalhousie Castle, Bonnyrigg. From Edinburgh city centre follow signs for Jedburgh (A68) to the Sheriffhall Roundabout, from there follow signs for the A7 to Gorebridge and take the B704 to Dalhousie Castle & Bonnyrigg.

Guests may select their breakfast from a continental buffet and the midday and evening meals are available à la carte or from a set menu. The barrel-vaulted Dungeon is a unique setting in which to enjoy fine Scottish dining, whilst The Orangery Restaurant provides a relaxed and more contemporary alternative with a view over the South Esk River. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
