This is an historic hotel, refurbished to a 3 star standard, situated in the High Street of Stony Stratford. A town which for centuries has occupied an important position on the old Roman watling street. The phrase A Cock and Bull story derives from 18th and 19th century travellers, telling hair raising tales of the road on arrival at The Cock and nearby Bull public house. The hotel serves a range of freshly prepared bar meals and snacks throughout the day in the bar and comfortable snug bar. We also have a delightful walled courtyard, when in full bloom is full of picturesque colours. We are close to Milton Keynes Centre, which houses Europes largest indoor shopping centre, a variety of pubs and night clubs, a state of the art theatre, an indoor snowdome, ten-pin bowling alley, ice-skating rink and 2 large cinemas. Woburn Safari park is around 15mins away by car. Towcester is around 7 miles away, and this has quite a few pubs on the main High Street, which usually offer various forms of entertainment. Bicester and Buckingham are about 20 minutes away and both have various shops with different styles and tastes catered for. Bicester Village is located here as well. They offer brand named clothing, jewellery, accessories and footwear at discounted prices. Please Note - The hotel has a no smoking policy in all of its bedrooms, bars and public areas. Smoking is only allowed outside.
