A luxurious, privately owned hotel situated in its own grounds in York city centre. The Churchill Hotel is a superbly converted Georgian residence retaining many of its original features and characteristics yet we have been sympathetically extended and lavishly refurbished to provide the comforts and facilities demanded by the discerning traveller. We offer our guests extremely comfortable, stylish bedrooms, all of which have modern en-suite facilities. Our Piano Bar and restaurant combine the historic with the contemporary and are relaxing areas in which to enjoy a pre dinner drink then a superb meal from our locally sourced menu.At the heart of the building is the atrium with its stunning, original, cantilever staircase, and equally amazing bookcase. Here you can put your feet up with a good book or keep in touch on the hidden computers provided for your use.We also provide disabled access, facilities and a suitably equipped bedroom. We have lift access to 24 of our 32 bedrooms. You can make use of complementary Wifi access. All bedrooms are no smoking. There is car parking on site which is free of charge.

Directions
FROM LEEDS - via the A64 (avoiding city)Travel east on the A64. Take the A1237 continue, for five miles following signs to Thirsk (A19). At the Roundabout that intersects the A19, turn right (York) continue for two miles. The Churchill Hotel is on the left just after the footbridge that goes over the road. FROM THE NORTH - A19Approaching York on the A19 proceed straight ahead on reaching the roundabout at the outer ring road. Continue for two miles, see above for follow on.FROM THE SOUTH M1 - A1 Travel North on the M1. At junction 32, take the M18 link to the A1 North. Continue on A1 until A64 YorkLeeds. Follow the directions from Leeds as above.FROM THE EAST (Hull)Follow A1237 until Thirsk A19 inter-section turn left for York and continue as above Leeds Direction FROM RAILWAY STATION Turn left out of the station towards the first set of lights go straight across, keep in left lane under the city walls and across the River via Lendal Bridge. At the next set of traffic lights turn left ( the Minster will be in front of you ) on to Exhibition square past The Art Gallery. Take the next left at the lights on to Bootham. About 250yds up the road past the pelican crossing on the right hand side is The Churchill Hotel.
