This is a wonderful hotel. Stayed there just one night, but will always remember it for the best evening meal I have had in any hotel, worldwide.

Our room was beautiful - huge, and comfortable. The wardrobe was so large it almost qualified as a second room.

Rouffach is quite attractive, and the hotel is a short stroll to the village. However, this is not, perhaps, and ideal location without a car. That said, the railway goes to Starsbourg in one direction, and past Colmar - a stunningly pretty medieval town - to Mulhouse in the other. Mulhouse has the French National Motor Museum, and Cite du Train, both world class. Strasbourg itself is a largely under-reported gem of a city-break destination.

All in all, the Alsace region of France is well worth a visit, and as a base, particularly for those who like to be comfortable and well-fed, this hotel would be hard to beat.
