This hotel is situated in the heart of Basel, just a short stroll from the main railway station.

The medium-sized rooms are all pleasantly decorated in a traditional manner. They were renovated in 2007 and are now in very good condition as are the bathrooms.

The main restaurant is decorated in a very elegant fashion and specializes in French cuisine. When the weather is warm enough, the hotel opens its terrace restaurant, which is particularly popular with the locals. The hotel also has a cosy, traditionally furnished piano bar.

The small lobby is bright, and, with its high ceilings and marble floors, it is rather grand in appearance. Leading off from the lobby area are several tables and comfortable chairs forming a kind of lounge area, where guests can meet and relax at their leisure.

The exterior of the building is very traditional in style. Its light blue facade makes it stand out from many of the other buildings in the area.
