CHECK IN POINT to uplift KEYS (nearby... 10 minutes walk at the most) at the Greenside Hotel, 9 ROYAL TERRACE, EH7 5AB........PRIOR to going to apartments... PLEASE READ TRAVEL DIRECTIONS FURTHER......The apartments are part of a private residential development, and do not have their own reception. They are part of a small city centre group of hotels - the Greenside Hotel nearby, being one of these. Calton Apartments Head Office is based in offices within the Hotel (a few minutes walk to the apartments). The Greenside Hotel front doors are open until 10.30 pm arrangements can be made for late arrivals.. contact telephone numbers on confirmation details...IF ARRIVING AT THE CONTACT POINT AT THE Greenside Hotel AFTER 22.00 HRS ...... PLEASE OBTAIN CONTACT NUMBERS FROM LATEROOMS.COM Travelling from Edinburgh International Airport: Airport taxis (£15.00 - £20.00 per car) from Airport directly to the Greenside Hotel. Airlink Express buses (approx £5 per person, single journey), from Airport to Waverley Bridge - central Edinburgh. Suggest taking taxi to Check-In point at Abbey Hotel (formerly Greenside Hotel) to uplift keys and instructions - from there, you will be directed to the apartments, 2 minutes by car, or 10 minutes walk. From Airport: 7 miles. 30-50 minutes. Waverley Bridge, you can get a taxi to the Greenside Hotel, (approx. £4), approx. 5 minute journey.DRIVING FROM AIRPORT: Follow road signs for City Centre A1, leading into West End of Edinburgh. Travel one block along Princes Street (YOU CANNOT GO DOWN PRINCES ST - ONLY BUSES and TAXIS). Road diverts to left, passing Charlotte Square on left. Turn right onto Queen Street (parallel to Princes Street and George Street). Proceed down Queen Street, this becomes York Place. Come to a large paved roundabout. You will see the Omni Centre (glass fronted building) in front of you, and Playhouse Theatre. See signs for Leith (A1) and Berwick upon Tweed, follow this route (Playhouse Theatre will be on your right hand side at this point). You will come to a smaller roundabout (ROADWORKS AT PRESENT..., therefore, go along London Road, at crossroads traffic lights, turn right, turn sharp right again up Carlton Avenue Brae, this will lead you up to Royal Terrace).IF ARRIVING BY TAXI - ASK THE DRIVER TO WAIT while one person goes in SIGN FOR THE KEYS and brief Terms and Conditions of Let.PLEASE NOTE: Metered parking available on the opposite side of the Hotel (the tree side) NOT in Residents spaces, or directly on hotel side.CHECK OUT: 11.00 am. In circumstances where guests flighttrains depart later in the day, they must check out of the apartments by 10.30 am at the latest, but are welcome to leave luggage at the Greenside Hotel, and pick it up later in the day to continue their return journey. Reception staff at the Hotel will happily phone for a taxi for Calton Apartments guests. IF ARRIVING BY TAXI - ASK DRIVER TO WAIT while one person goes in to SIGN FOR THE KEYS and brief Terms and Conditions of Let. ALSO, IF ARRIVING EARLIER THAN APPOINTED CHECK-IN TIME, check with Reception staff at the Greenside Hotel, to ensure that your apartment is ready. In the unlikely event that it is not ready, please depart from the taxi - guests are welcome to leave their luggage safely at the Hotel, and uplift later in the afternoon. PLEASE NOTE: Parking available on the opposite side of the Hotel, NOT in Residents spaces. CHECK OUT: 11.00 am... at the latest... otherwise additional charges of minimum £25.00 per person per night will be incurred, or contract may be terminated. In circumstances where guests flighttrains depart later in the day, they must check out of the apartments by 10.00 am at the latest, but they are more than welcome to leave their luggage at the Greenside Hotel, and pick it up later in the day to continue their return journey. NB: CHECK-OUT TIME - Daily - all year round = 11.00 am. Late checkouts may be arranged by prior agreement only at a rate of £20.00 per hour, or part thereof All late checkouts will be charged at this rate.OCCUPANCY: The number of people occupying the property MUST NOT exceed the number specified on the Calton Apartments Confirmation of Reservation (this also includes adults with children under 12 years, including infants... as utilities, laundry and staffing costs and time must be taken into consideration), and also the Laterooms confirmation, otherwise ADDITIONAL CHARGES of a minimum of 25.00 per person per night WILL BE incurred, or the contract may be terminatedIn the case of small children, allowances can be made, but contact MUST be made with Brenda Frame - General Manager - Calton Apartments
