A VERY PRIVATE PLACE Coming to Norwich? Business people as well as pleasure seekers will love Brovey Lair because it is so different from the run-of-the-mill hotel. Only half an hour from Norwich and less than an hour to Norfolks spectacular north coast not only is the property set in tranquil and lush surroundings but its restaurant enjoys top position for the county in The 2009 Good Food Guide and is Michelin recommended. Beds are super-kings with orthopaedic box sprung mattresses and hypoallergenic duvets and pillow cases; lighting is mood-controlled with floor to ceiling mirrored walls; there are CDRadio,TV sets, teas, filtered coffee and chilled soft drinks, all complimentary. The restaurant specialises in prime fish and seafood offering an exquiste 4 course dinner which must be pre-booked and is discussed prior to your visit. So please indicate under special requirements with a landline phone number so the chef can call you for your personal preferences. Pre-booked aromatherapy and Indian head massages in-room are available the afternoon you arrive and in summer guests can swim in the heated pool with towels (and swimsuits) supplied free. You have your own south-facing terrace with sun loungers where drinks and breakfast are served in fine weather. Suites overlook rolling lawns and water features, are independent of the main building and afford total tranquillity and serenity. Relax and enjoy the silence, particularly at night. Youll awake to the dawn chorus led by our large population of black collared doves and a few cockerels exchanging good mornings. The surrounding Brecks countryside is delightful with High Lodge in Thetford forest a short drive away. There you can walk for miles or if youre feeling really adventurous, take the high wire trip above the forest called Go Ape. Closer to home, look out for the wild muntjack deer that occasionally prance around on our hills within full view of your room. The north Norfolk Heritage coast is under an hours drive and well worth the effort. Visit the little coastal village of Cley and walk for miles at the edge of the ocean. See them sailing at Blakeney and in summer take a boat out to the seal beds. From the ancient market town of Holt, known for its antique and food stores, drive 4 miles to Sheringham Woods, a National Trust park high above the sea. Noel Coward wrote in Private Lives Very flat Norfolk. Not here its not! Then ride the Poppy Line steam train on a round trip to Holt. The Norfolk broads are wonderful for a voyage of 3 to 4 hours on a crisp autumn or spring day. Rent a small boat at picturesque Wroxham; explore Norfolks romantic waterways mooring at one of the riverside pubs for a light lunch. But be warned. Make lunch really light as a four course feast of fish, exquisite seafood and delicious desserts awaits you at dinner time.Breakfast? Healthy Californian blends excitingly with spicy Mexican, an original spin youll not experience anywhere else in the UK. Go to menu 7 on our website www.broveylair.com for the complete picture. Late breakfasts on weekends are encouraged and often run on until midday. You could be in paradise where relaxation and fabulous food combine to create an atmosphere of clandestine sensuality a discovery you may wish to keep to yourselves!
