Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi, set approximately 10 km from the sea and 8 km from the medieval town of Ascoli Piceno, comprises a large 16th century Palazzo and Chapel, the San Pancrazio Cottage, a 19th century building sheltered by the old castle walls, all set in a historic garden designed between 1875 and 1890 by the renowned German botanist and landscape architect Ludwig Winter.The imposing red brick Palazzo is the cetrepiece of the Borgo. All five spacious Junior suites look out over the gardens and have been sumptuously refurnished with beautiful wallpapers, new bathrooms, fine fabrics and ceiling fans. Visitors are welcome to sit and read in the formal sitting rooms and can also enjoy dinner in the dining room. Near the swimming pool, with views on the valley, there is the San Pancrazio Cottage, where an old farm house has been converted into 5 De Luxe Studios. As in the Palazzo, these suites, have been elegantly furnished to th every highest standards.The Historic Gardens, designed in a romantic style with towering palms, oaks, exotic and unusual plants and a lake with statues and a Japanese bridge, will delight any gardens lover. The gardens, thanks to Bioenergetic Landscapes techniques, are the first in Italy to have Bioenergy areas which widen the spectrum of well beig that man gives to mankind.The recently restored stables have become a space for contemporary art exhibitions, concerts, courses and seminars. FROM ROMAOn exiting the Fiumicino Airport follow the indication for Rieti. From Rieti follow the indication for Ascoli Piceno. Through the ancient road Salaria you will arrive to Ascoli Piceno. Do not exit at Ascoli Piceno but keep driving direction San Benedetto del Tronto until you arrive at Castel di Lama. Exit at Castel di Lama and follow directions as below.FROM PESCARAOn exiting the airport at Pescara, follow the green signs for the A14 Autostrada. Take your ticket at the toll gate avoiding lanes for VIA CARDTELEPASS and join the A14 ANCONA following all indications northbound for ANCONA or BOLOGNA.Exit the motorway at ASCOLI PICENOSAN BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO After the toll gate, turn right inland towards the mountains. Follow the directions for the superstrada (the dual carriageway known as the Ascoli Mare) in the direction ASCOLI PICENO. After approximately 10 kms, and after approximately the third exit, exit the superstrada at CASTEL DI LAMA and follow directions as below.FROM ANCONA and NORTH EASTERN ITALY On exiting the airport at Ancona, follow the green signs for the A14 Autostrada BOLOGNA-PESCARA. Take your ticket at the toll booth avoiding lanes for VIA CARDTELEPASS and join the A14 ANCONA following all indications southbound for ANCONA or PESCARA. Exit the motorway at ASCOLI PICENOSAN BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO. After the toll gate, turn right inland towards the mountains. Follow the directions for the superstrada (the dual carriageway known as the Ascoli Mare) in the direction ASCOLI PICENO. After approximately 10 kms, and after approximately the third exit, exit the superstrada at CASTEL DI LAMA and follow directions as below.DIRECTIONS FROM CASTEL DI LAMA EXIT.At Castel di Lama exit, turn right at the top of the slip road and go straight. Go over the bridge. You will arrive at a roundabout where you must turn right following the indication for OFFIDACASTEL DI LAMA. Continue on this road, pass some grey and blue low warehouse like buildings on your left. Go under a railway bridge with black and white markings. You will arrive at a roundabout and bridge to your right. At this point, turn left at the roundabout following direction Castel di Lama. After about 100m turn right immediately after a pink modern building on your right (Banca delle Marche) following the blue sign MUNICIPIO and the brown sign BORGO STORICO SEGHETTI PANICHI. Turn right again, after about 50 m passing a small fountain on your left and then keeping left, (and not taking the further small road to your right) go steeply up hill. After the first hairpin bend you will see a gateway and asphalted driveway in the centre of the second hairpin bend. Take this road and follow up and round. Please park adjacent to the reception - the small building before the apartments with many windows. IMPORTANT: The Borgo has not a continuous opening reception, the reception office is open Monday to Saturday 08.30-18.00 (Sunday 9.00-13.00). If you arrive outside these hours, please advise us about your arrival time.
