Built in the style of a Manor House, the hotel is situated in 20 acres of land with spectacular views of the Derwent Valley and Northumbria countryside.Dine in style in our Guineveres Restaurant or have more informal meals in our Grouse and Claret pub.We are also a very popular wedding venue. All our bedrooms are spacious, most with timber beamed ceilings and all with either one or two double beds.Leisure Club opened in October 2003 with indoor pool, sauna, spa bath and fitness centre. Situated close to all major attractions in the area, such as Durham Cathedral, Beamish Museum, Hadrians Wall, Gateshead Metro Centre (360 shops)and with easy links to the cities of Newcastle and Durham.
