This cosy, small 14-bedroom hotel was built in the 1880s and is in the Stanwix part of the city where the Romans had a command headquarters for 1,000 cavalry, so the hotel's foundations are literally on Hadrian's Wall. The hotel welcomes cycling, walking and golfing groups. For those wanting to get away from it all, take advantage of the special offers for short breaks available throughout the year.
