The hotel is centrally located on Via Montanini, an elegant shopping street only 200 metres from the famous Piazza del Campo and very close to the bus station. Situated in the old town, we are a short walk from all the major sights. Staff are happy to assist you with directions and make suggestions for visits. The hotel has a rich history and great character. Until 1262, it was a former palace owned by the noble Bulgarini family. Afterwards the building was owned by Ghinibaldo di Saracino and his wife Sapia Salvani. The old Ponzi’s tower can be seen in the hotel’s façade. In the 19th century, the hotel was called Locanda delle Armi d’Inghilterra and now it is known as Cannon d’Oro.
