Alba Executive Apartments are located in a quiet suburb which lies two miles from the centre of Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city. Edinburgh Castle is two miles from the hotel, and the outstanding neo classical architecture of the 18th century New Town is 2.5 miles away.
Hotel Features. These apartments are located in a Victorian sandstone two storey townhouse typical of Edinburgh's leafy suburbs and retain many original features. Concierge services, including restaurant booking and sightseeing tours, housekeeping and a dry cleaning services are provided. Breakfast is available for a surcharge.
Apartments. The three apartments have high ceilings with original mouldings, fireplaces, light minimalist decor and smart, contemporary furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television, CD and DVD players, wireless Internet access and separate sitting areas. Kitchens have cookware and refrigerators, and bathrooms offer designer toiletries.
Expert Tip. The walk up Arthur's Seat, two miles from the hotel, is reasonably arduous but it is possible to cheat by driving most of the way. Those who make it to the summit are rewarded by exceptional views across the city and over the Firth of Forth to Fife.

From Edinburgh Airport (EDI):
Distance to Alba Executive Apartments is 12 miles, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Airlink 100 operates express bus services to the city centre. Buses run every 10 minutes and depart from the bus station next to the terminal. An open return pass costs 5 GBP. The N22 night bus runs between midnight and 4 a.m. Taxis wait at a rank next to the terminal, and cost approximately 20 GBP to the hotel, depending on traffic and time of day. Waverley, Edinburgh's main railway station, can be reached by bus or taxi and is two miles from the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Edinburgh city and the Lothian region are served by a good bus network. There are hop on, hop off stops for city bus tours throughout central Edinburgh. Black cabs are available from the streets. The historic centre's cobbled streets are best explored by foot. Driving is not recommended for visitors, due to the complicated one way systems.
