The Achat Hotel Zwickau is a modern hotel located two kilometres from the centre of Zwickau, birthplace of Horch, Audi, DKW and Trabant cars. The 206 guestrooms over four floors have light decor with contemporary wood furniture, blue patterned drapes and carpets. All have cable TV, direct dial phones, Internet access, minibars and clock radios.
The hotel restaurant serves German and international dishes in a bistro style setting, and there is also a bar in the lobby; room service is available round the clock room. Guest can relax in the sauna and lounge area, and seek assistance from multi lingual staff at the 24 hour front desk. For business guests, a choice of four conference rooms is available. On site parking is a bonus for drivers (surcharge). Zwickau is best known as the motor city of East Ger many and today VW carries on this tradition.Two kilomtres away, the Automobi le museum displays a large collection of Horsch sedans and over a dozen Trabant models including the last vehicle ever produced. Further afield, Altenburg Castle the Sachsenring racing course can be found within 20 kilometres. The nearest train station is six kilometres from the hotel and the nearest bus stop is 100 metres away on the Leipziger Strasse. Leipzig Airport is an approximate 90 minutes drive at a distance of 85 kilometres. The Airport can be reached by the Flughafen Express train. Directions
By car from the airport take A9 towards Nurnberg. Take the A4 towards Chemnitz, and take the Zwickau exit. Take the direction of Crimmitschau and at the next traffic lights turn right onto Leipziger Strasse. The hotel is on the right.
