Cork Racecourse Mallow is situated 35km outside of Cork city centre in the Republic of  Ireland, and has held racing events since 1924.

Racing at Cork is a mix of quality jump and flat racing with mixed cards taking precedence in the Summer and all jumps in the Winter.

The annual 3-day Easter Festival in Cork is a major event that attracts visitors from far and wide. The festival is a true family event, combining top-class racing with food, music, children’s activities and the famous Irish ‘craic’.

The racecourse underwent a major refurbishment in the mid 1990s, backed by the Irish Horseracing Authority, the Irish Government and local private and industry sponsorship.

Today there is a range of facilities available to spectators, including five public bars and a carvery restaurant, in addition to fast food outlets.

Getting To Cork

Ireland can only be reached by air or ferry from mainland Britain.

For those arriving by air, Cork airport is 44km from the course and is served by airports across the UK and Europe.

From Cork, the easiest route to the racecourse is taking an over-rail train to the town of Mallow, which is 30km journey. There is a free shuttle bus service to and from the train station to all race meetings.

If you fancy travelling in style, helicopter landings at the course are available. More details can be found at www.corkracecourse.ie.
