Aintree is an important racecourse located in the village of Aintree, on Merseyside, England. Through history the venue has also played host to motor racing, which was pretty much discontinued in the 1960s, although some small scale motoring still takes place there. Also, Aintree has been used as a concert venue, with The Kaiser Chiefs, The Chemical Brothers and Michael Jackson all performing there at various points. Finally, there is also a 9-hole golf course and driving range as part of the complex, but it is closed on race days. Racing at Aintree has gone on since 1839, and the course today hosts 6 racing days as well as arguably the most famous race in the world, The Grand National. This relative shortage of race meetings means that every meeting at Aintree is special. Also, the Grand National is often the most dramatic race of the year, and as such the course at Aintree is world famous. The course has many, many dining options and bars, with everything to ensure you have a great day there. Business customers might also be interested to learn about the business and conference centre, whose location makes for a suitably impressive venue for any business meetings.
