Estadio El Madrigal is the home of Villareal Football Club who play in the Spanish La Liga.
The stadium is located in the town of Villarreal, in the province of Castelló on the East coast of Spain.
El Madrigal was built in 1923 and has a capacity of just 25,000 - unusual for a top division football club but reflective of the town’s small population (less than 50,000).
Travelling by car from the UK would be an extremely arduous journey of at least half a day, so it is recommended that you fly.
The nearest international airport is Valencia, which is 57km from Villarreal. The airport has flight connections to about 15 European countries, and serves both London and Bristol in the UK.
Unless you want to use a hire car, the best way to get from Valencia to Villarreal is to take a taxi from Valencia airport to the RENFE train station in Valencia city. From here there are trains to Villarreal every 30 minutes.
