Ibrox Stadium is located in the Ibrox district of Glasgow, Scotland, and is the home ground of Rangers Football Club.
The venue is one of only two UEFA 5-star grade stadiums in Scotland (the other being Hampden) and, above all else, is renowned for its fervent matchday atmosphere.
The current capacity is 51,082. However, the stadium can boast the largest ever attendance for a league match in Britain, having housed 118,567 spectators for a match against arch-rivals Celtic in 1939. Given the prevalence of all-seater stadiums in top-level football, this record is likely to stand the test of time.
Ibrox is located around 5km from Glasgow city centre and is easily reached by train or bus.
The Ibrox Underground station is immediately adjacent to the Stadium on Copland Road. Trains run every few minutes.
There are also a number of buses which all pass within 300 yards of the stadium and can be boarded from Glasgow city centre.
Glasgow is served by two international airports, but the most convenient is Glasgow International Airport which is just six miles from Ibrox stadium.
The alternative is Glasgow Prestwick International Airport which is 30 miles from the stadium.
