Celtic Park is the home of Celtic Football Club, who play in Scotland. The stadium is located in the Parkhead area of Glasgow.

The stadium and the fans who fill it each game are known for producing one of those vociferous and passionate atmospheres in Europe.

The original Celtic Park was built in 1888 though it has undergone numerous redevelopments over the years. In 1994, three quarters of the ground was demolished and replaced by state-of-the-art stands. Its modern capacity is just under 61,000.

Stadium tours are available which include a visit to the Celtic Park Museum.

Getting To Celtic Park

BAA Glasgow is a major airport hub which connects to destinations across the UK, Europe and beyond. The airport is around 17km away from Celtic Park and city centre.

The stadium lies about a mile and a half east of the city centre and is easily reachable by train, bus, taxi or foot.

Glasgow Central Station has connecting trains to cities all over the UK, including London. From Central Station you can take a local train to Dalmarnock, which is a 5 minute walk of the ground.

If you fancy the walk from the city centre, you can take the Gallowgate road and enjoy the many pubs along the way. This would also enable you to avoid walking through Bridgeton, which is known as a stronghold of Celtic’s arch-rivals Rangers.

For those arriving by car, parking around the stadium is available. There is a free stewarded car park directly in front of the Main Stand. However, to avoid the risk of being boxed in for hours by someone enjoying post-match hospitality, there are plenty of side streets nearby where you can leave your motor instead.
