Ewood Park, in Blackburn, Lancashire, is the home ground of Blackburn Rovers Football club. Ewood Park first opened in 1882, and today the ground has an all-seated capacity of 31,367. An interesting thing to note is that the corner flags at Ewood Park have the club crest on. This is only allowed as Rovers are one of two, the other being The Wanderers FC, to win the FA Cup three times in a row. For fans or visitors who are interested, there are ground tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which go all over the ground and allow visitors to see areas of the ground they would not normally get to see, such as the changing rooms and the tunnel area. Away fans visiting Ewood Park will watch the game from the Darwen End stand, and there are toilets and refreshment facilities in the stand there too. Getting To Ewood ParkGetting to Ewood Park, or to your Ewood Park hotel, by car is best pursued by using a good online route planner or satellite navigation. The postcode for the ground is BB2 4JF. It should be noted that street parking is severely restricted, and those journeying by car should use the nearby car parks for parking and not the street. However, there are twenty parking spaces at the away end for disabled fans to park for free to allow them easier access to the ground. There is also public transport provision for getting to Ewood Park. |
