Hotels   Guide

Trent Bridge is a cricket ground situated in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England, and is the home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. As well as county games, the venue also hosts international cricket and Twenty20 Cup matches.

The venue is the world's third oldest major cricket ground and as such is steeped in history. It boasts a famous pavilion which has retained the same architectural features since its creation in 1889.

However, the stadium has undergone various redevelopments over the years. In 1998 the £7.2 million Radcliffe Road Cricket Centre was opened in 1998 and more recently the state of the art £1.9 million Fox Road stand was unveiled, which includes an eye-catching aircraft-wing roof.

If you have some time to spare during your trip, you may want to immerse yourself in the legend of Robin Hood.  Sherwood Forest is 20 miles north of the city, but an easier journey would be to the impressive Nottingham Castle, which offers a glimpse into a bygone era.

Getting To Trent Bridge

Nottingham is a major UK city and is suitably well served by transport links.

For those arriving by car, Trent Bridge can actually be approached from both the M1 and A1 roads without travelling through the city centre.

If you’re travelling by train, Nottingham railway station is a 15-minute walk to Trent Bridge.

There are also regular buses from the city centre directly to the ground.

The nearest airport is East Midlands, which is 11 miles from Trent Bridge. There is a Skylink bus service which runs from the airport to Nottingham city centre.
