The Oval is a cricket ground in Kennington, west London and one of the most famous cricket venues in the world.
It is the home to Surrey County Cricket Club and also traditionally hosts the final Test match of each English summer.
The ground is an interesting mix of new and old, with the historic old Victorian pavilion contrasting sharply with the ultra-modern and avant-garde £23 million OCS Stand.
For a taste of the past, the Victorian pavilion houses a Museum that takes visitors through over 150 years of Oval history.
The Oval’s central location means it is well served by transport links.
By far the easiest way of travelling to the stadium is by underground. Oval station, on the Northern Line, is 100 metres from the ground and can be reached directly from major mainline stations Kings Cross and Waterloo.
The ground is also a ten minute walk from Vauxhall station which is on the Victoria line.
No match day car parking is available at or in the vicinity of the ground.
For international visitors, the Oval is well connected to all of London’s major airports, reachable via numerous tube routes as well as regular bus services from various points across the city.
